How we collect, use and protect your personal and health data.

1. Who we are
Helia Dental operates this website and the clinics referenced on it. For data protection purposes, the controller is the Helia Dental entity named in the imprint. Contact: privacy@heliadental.com.
2. What data we collect
Enquiry data: name, email address, telephone number, country, preferred language, the treatment you ask about and anything you write in the message field.
Health data: photographs, radiographs, clinical records and treatment notes. This is special category data under Article 9 GDPR and is processed only on the basis of your explicit consent or for the provision of health care under Article 9(2)(h).
Technical data: a hashed form of your IP address, browser and device type, the page you arrived on, referring website and — with your consent — analytics and advertising identifiers.
3. Why we process it
To respond to your enquiry and prepare a treatment plan (Article 6(1)(b)); to provide dental care and keep the records the law requires us to keep (Article 6(1)(c) and 9(2)(h)); to operate and secure the website (Article 6(1)(f)); and, where you have consented, to measure marketing performance and contact you about services (Article 6(1)(a)).
4. Advertising and analytics
Analytics and advertising technologies do not run until you allow them in the cookie banner. Where you consent, data may be shared with Google and Meta for conversion measurement. You can change or withdraw that consent at any time from the cookie settings link in the footer.
5. How long we keep it
Clinical records are retained for the period required by the applicable health legislation. Enquiries that do not lead to treatment are deleted after 24 months. Consent records are kept for as long as the consent is relied upon plus the applicable limitation period.
6. Who we share it with
Our dental laboratory, our clinical software provider, our email and hosting providers, and — where you ask us to — your dentist at home. Each acts under a data processing agreement. We do not sell personal data.
7. International transfers
Where data leaves the EEA, transfers rely on Standard Contractual Clauses or an adequacy decision.
8. Your rights
You may request access, correction, erasure, restriction, portability, and object to processing based on legitimate interests. You may withdraw consent at any time without affecting prior processing. You may complain to your national supervisory authority. Write to privacy@heliadental.com.
9. Changes
Material changes are announced on this page with a revised effective date.
